Denver – Today, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet released the statement below following an announcement from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment that a Colorado woman in El Paso County has died from the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19):
“I am deeply saddened to learn that we lost a Coloradan to a case of COVID-19 today. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and community.
“In the midst of this public health crisis, I know Coloradans are up to the task of supporting each other and taking the necessary precautions to protect our most vulnerable. I will continue working with Governor Polis, the Colorado Congressional delegation, and our local partners to ensure that we are doing everything we can to combat the coronavirusand keep Coloradans safe.”
